New American Beer Mile Record Set by Garrett Cullen in 4:54.52!

 On July 9th, 2016, Garrett Cullen made history by lowering the American record in the Beer Mile to 4:54! The previous record was set by James "The Beast" Neilson in 4:57 which has stood for over two years. You can watch that video HERE. The sub five feat was once thought to be impossible, but now world class beer milers around the world have continued to dip under. Garrett's new record consists of drinking four beers in under 35 seconds and running a 4:20 mile. According to, Garrett now ranks 3rd best time ever!


Garrett Cullen will now be leading Team USA at the Beer Mile World Classic on July 31, 2016 in London UK. Garrett has started a GoFundMe page to raise travel funds. As of July 14th, Garrett has raised $250 of his $1,051 goal.
